Tan Son: Striving to become a wealthy commune in the western part of Quynh Luu district.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 12th, the Party Committee of Tan Son mountainous commune, Quynh Luu district, solemnly held its 11th Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term. Attending and directing the Congress on behalf of the province was Ms. Phan Thi Hong, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.

As a mountainous commune facing many difficulties, with uneven levels of education and weak infrastructure, Tan Son's rural landscape has significantly improved by the end of the 2010-2015 term. During the past term, the Party Committee of the commune implemented many policies and resolutions that were relevant to the local reality, promoting socio-economic development. As a result, most of the targets set by the 10th Party Congress were successfully achieved under the leadership of the people. The total value of production in 2015 was estimated at 207 billion VND, an increase of 112.4 billion VND and 2.19 times compared to 2010; average per capita income was estimated at 23 million VND/year; and the average economic growth rate over the past five years reached 15.7%, exceeding the Congress target of 14%. Average income per unit area in 2015 reached 95 million VND/ha/year, an increase of 25 million VND/ha (the congress target was 70 million VND in 2015).

The economic structure has shifted in the right direction. From a poor commune with small-scale production, Tan Son has now risen to the top of the district in winter crop production and goods services. In 2015, the entire commune had over 120 vehicles of various types, including 102 specialized transport vehicles for selling vegetables to markets inside and outside the province. Culture, social affairs, and education have also received significant investment, with the construction of a comprehensive cultural and sports facility and the effective implementation of the movement for national unity in building a cultured life in residential areas. Notably, despite being a mountainous commune, Tan Son has successfully built 3 schools that meet national standards at level 1.

At the new term's Congress 2015-2020, the Tan Son Party Committee continued to set important goals. These included focusing on several objectives such as an average economic growth rate of 10-11% over the next five years, per capita income reaching 42-43 million VND, average production value per unit of cultivated land reaching 110-115 million VND/ha/year, and striving to reduce the poverty rate to below 2%...

To successfully achieve the targets set for the new term, many delegates frankly shared their views and thoughts on building a socio-economic and national defense and security development strategy for the locality. These included proposals to continue developing large-scale model fields for commercial vegetable production, experimentally planting some short-term industrial crops in hilly areas, developing concentrated livestock farming in the form of farms and family farms, and improving forestry protection and development... striving to make Tan Son a prosperous commune in the western part of Quynh Luu district.

With a spirit of intellectual focus, democracy, and responsibility, the Tan Son Commune Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term was successfully concluded. The delegates unanimously voted to elect 15 comrades to the XI Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term and elected 4 delegates to attend the Quynh Luu District Party Congress.

Speaking at the Congress, the Secretary of the Quynh Luu District Party Committee, Le Duc Cuong, praised the achievements of the Party Committee and people of Tan Son commune. He also emphasized that during the 2015-2020 term, the Tan Son Party Committee needs to be creative and innovative, setting an example of pioneering Party members and cadres leading the way in all fields for the people to follow. In particular, it is necessary to leverage the potential of land and human resources to develop key economic sectors, striving to make Tan Son not only a wealthy commune but also a leading economic region of the district.
