Tan Thanh - a bright spot in the development of Yen Thanh district

The appearance of Tan Thanh has changed clearly: The dusty and muddy roads of the past have been replaced by clean asphalt and concrete roads, with green trees on both sides and tall, solid buildings close together. This change is thanks to the attention of Yen Thanh district, the efforts of the Party Committee and the government of Tan Thanh commune, and the joint efforts and consensus of the people.

According to the report, during the term, the total production value of the commune is estimated at 341 billion VND, an increase of 9.2%; the average income per capita in 2020 is estimated at 46.34 million VND/person/year, exceeding the congress's plan by 5.34 million VND. In the field of agricultural, forestry and fishery production, Tan Thanh commune has exploited the potential for effective development; bringing greenhouse and net house production models with an area of ​​6,000 m²put into production; greenhouse products, net houses, and pineapples in 2017 were recognized as VietGAP standards. Livestock has developed strongly, building many large-scale concentrated pig farms, such as the pig farm model of Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh with a scale of over 1,300 super lean mother pigs, a wastewater treatment system using advanced technology, creating stable jobs for over 100 workers.

Labor export is quite strong, the whole commune currently has nearly 500 laborers exported to Japan, Korea and some European countries. Industry - small industry is interested in creating momentum for strong development, especially forestry processing, civil carpentry, repair, construction, mechanical welding... Tan Thanh also strongly develops commercial services such as developing supermarkets, petrol, construction materials...

In particular, in the past 5 years, implementing the new rural construction program, Tan Thanh has achieved remarkable achievements. The commune reached the new rural finish line in 2016, 1 year ahead of the target of the resolution of the 10th Party Congress. The traffic and irrigation systems were built synchronously. Tan Thanh also improved the criteria such as, in early 2019, launching a movement to build road-clamping canals, embankments, flower beds to plant flowers and trees to participate in the beautiful new rural contest. Within just 3 months, 22 km of canals, 5.7 km of embankments, 2,430 flower beds, and over 40 km of electric lines to light up villages and hamlets were built. The total investment value in building social infrastructure in the past term is estimated at 226 billion 313 million VND, reaching 110.2% of the 5-year plan.

The fields of culture, health, and education are all focused on development, ensuring the needs of goods, travel, production, and people's lives are increasingly better; national defense and security in the area are maintained, social order and safety are guaranteed. The Party Committee takes care of Party building work, consolidates and builds internal solidarity, creates high consensus...

The general goal set by the locality for the next term of 2020 - 2025 is to unite the Party, government and people, promote sustainable socio-economic development in the spirit of "democracy - innovation - intelligence - development", and strive to build Tan Thanh into a model new rural commune by 2024, becoming the town center of the northern region of Yen Thanh district.

To achieve this goal, it is necessary to focus on implementing the following main solutions: Continue to exploit the existing potential of the locality, mobilize people to accumulate land. Propose to superiors to allow farms and households in the area that meet the conditions to lease land for a long time to feel secure in investing in production and intensive farming. Bring new industries and new occupations into the area to increase income, diversify occupations; transform the labor structure towards specialization. Strive for the production value to reach 579 billion VND by 2025.

Regarding agricultural, forestry and fishery production development, the commune continues to stabilize production on 1,035 hectares, including 785 hectares of grain crops, 37 hectares of root crops, 55 hectares of pineapple, 114 hectares of food crops, 21 hectares of medicinal plants... Strengthening the transfer of intensive production science and technology to farmers, creating high-quality products in agriculture...

For livestock farming, strengthen disease prevention and control management, implement vaccination programs well, apply scientific and technological advances in livestock farming, and expand medium-scale concentrated livestock farming models.
