New Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Hoang Vinh Bao takes office

New Deputy Minister Hoang Vinh Bao affirmed that this is a great honor and he will strive to fulfill the assigned tasks.

On the afternoon of July 29, the Ministry of Information and Communications announced Decision No. 1467/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the temporary appointment of Mr. Hoang Vinh Bao, Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (PTTH & TTĐT) to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Information and Communications from July 22.

Mr. Hoang Vinh Bao was born in 1961, his hometown is Phu Tho. Before being appointed as Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, he held positions such as Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Education, Culture and Social Affairs (Government Office); Director of VTC Digital Television Station; Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Information and Communications).

Thus, up to this point, the Ministry of Information and Communications has had 5 Deputy Ministers: Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Mr. Pham Hong Hai, Mr. Phan Tam and Mr. Hoang Vinh Bao.

Speaking emotionally at the decision-giving ceremony, the new Deputy Minister Hoang Vinh Bao affirmed that this was a great honor for him personally, but at the same time, what he achieved today was also thanks to the trust, care and support of the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications in all periods, and the trust and support of the units, Departments and Offices under the Ministry.

"With the new job, I consider this a big responsibility, requiring more supervision and a larger scale. I promise to continue to learn, improve my knowledge and practice my moral qualities, and hope to continue to receive support and help from the leaders of the Ministry, relevant departments, offices and units to successfully complete the assigned tasks," the Deputy Minister shared.

Congratulating the new Deputy Minister, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan emphasized that with this appointment decision, the Ministry has completed its leadership organization with 5 Deputy Ministers in charge of areas under the Ministry's state management.

"Throughout his work, comrade Hoang Vinh Bao has demonstrated his working capacity and ability to handle assigned tasks," the Minister noted.

"I believe that this will be a strong solidarity bloc, together with the units, departments and offices under the Ministry, striving in this 5-year term to help the Information and Communications sector overcome challenges and achieve results as expected by the Party, Government and society. In the next 5 years, there will be many opportunities but also great challenges, requiring solidarity and consensus of the entire sector," the Minister said.

On the same day, the Ministry of Information and Communications also announced Decision No. 1319/QD-BTTTT on the temporary appointment of Mr. Pham Minh Tien, Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Emulation and Commendation, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Emulation and Commendation from July 28, 2016.

Mr. Pham Minh Tien was born in 1962 in Hanoi, and has held many positions such as Secretary of the Deputy Minister; Deputy Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel; Deputy Head in charge of the Department of Emulation and Rewards..../.
