Will the new president of Ukraine make a shocking move: Dissolve the Parliament?
The staff of the elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky published a video petition on its Youtube channel, in which most of the respondents wanted to dissolve the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament).
As noted in the description, if the video gets more than a million views, Mr. Zelensky will pay attention to this issue.
Additionally, one of the group members called on all those who supported the idea of dissolving parliament to “Like” it – more than 31,000 of them have already done so.
Video petition to dissolve Rada
Earlier, media reported that Mr. Zelensky's team had prepared a decree to dissolve the Rada, although it was stressed that the final decision had not yet been made.
According to the Ukrainian newspaper Pravda, part of the staff considers this measure necessary, while the rest believes that it is necessary to fully prepare the Servant of the People party first. It should be noted that the decree contains a provision on holding early elections to the Ukrainian parliament in July.
