On February 20, 2013, the Provincial People's Committee assignedDepartmentTN&MT, the Department of Construction advised on the effective implementation of the Deputy Prime Minister's direction. Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, to strengthen the management of activities of exploration, exploitation, transportation of river sand and gravel and protection of unexploited sand and gravel in the area, on February 25, 2013, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment issued Document No. 426/STNMT.KS with the content requesting the People's Committees of districts, Vinh city and Thai Hoa town: Strengthen the management of activities of exploration, exploitation, transportation of sand and gravel in the area for organizations licensed by competent authorities, handle cases of violations of labor safety, causing environmental pollution, affecting the safety of dykes, flood drainage, causing public outrage. Directing functional departments and offices to inspect and thoroughly handle organizations and individuals who exploit, transport, gather, and trade sand and gravel illegally or without origin.
Also in Document No. 426, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment requested the People's Committees of districts, Vinh city and Thai Hoa town to report the implementation results to the Provincial People's Committee before March 5, 2013.
