Strengthening the dissemination and popularization of laws.
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 19th, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to review the work of disseminating legal education during the first six months of the year and to implement tasks for the last six months of 2013. Comrade Thai Van Hang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presided over the conference.

Overview of the conference

Members of the Provincial Council for Law Dissemination and Education contributed opinions on the work of disseminating and popularizing laws.
In the first six months of the year, the Department of Justice coordinated with other departments, agencies, and organizations to strengthen and consolidate the Provincial Council for Legal Education and Dissemination, guiding 20 districts and cities to advise their respective People's Committees on developing operational regulations and consolidating council members. All levels and sectors actively disseminated and publicized new legal documents passed by the 13th National Assembly, as well as specialized legal documents, focusing on areas such as anti-corruption, traffic safety, food safety and hygiene, consumer protection, and land compensation and resettlement.
Coordination efforts were made to gather opinions from officials, civil servants, and all segments of the population on the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution and the amended Land Law. Mass media actively disseminated legal documents and new policies relevant to people's lives, and widely publicized the amendments to the 1992 Constitution… Mediation work and legal libraries were regularly given attention and implemented; 20 district-level units had 5,474 mediation teams; and 477 out of 479 commune-level units in the province had legal libraries, meeting the needs of officials and people in the area for research and information…
At the conference, members of the Provincial Council for Legal Education and Dissemination participated in discussions and contributed ideas on the work of disseminating and publicizing laws in the province.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Thai Van Hang emphasized that in the coming time, members of the Provincial Council for Legal Education and Dissemination need to promote their roles, advising and directing all levels and sectors to effectively disseminate and popularize laws. All levels and sectors should continue to build and strengthen the work of disseminating and mobilizing people to abide by the law in residential communities; in the work of disseminating and popularizing laws, attention should be paid to specific areas, people in rural areas and ethnic minorities.
