Authorities are conducting inspections and checks on food items that are widely consumed during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The Central Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on Food Safety has just sent a document to the People's Committees of provinces and cities regarding "Strengthening food safety inspection and control during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival".

The Central Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on Food Safety has requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct the Departments of Health, Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, and other relevant local agencies to conduct inspections of establishments producing and trading food items that are widely consumed during the Mid-Autumn Festival, such as cakes, jams, candies, beer, wine, soft drinks, meat, sausages, etc., especially food production facilities in traditional craft villages and those showing signs of violating food safety regulations.

During the inspection process, timely announcements should be made through mass media about establishments and products that meet food safety standards, as well as those that violate or fail to meet food safety standards, so that people are aware and can choose safe food.
