Strengthening leadership and guidance in drug prevention and control.
(Baonghean)In recent times, drug prevention and control efforts have consistently received attention from all levels, sectors, and organizations. However, the situation regarding drug-related crimes and social ills in the province remains complex; drug-related crimes are becoming increasingly sophisticated and audacious, and the number of drug addicts is on the rise.
To enhance the effectiveness of leadership and guidance in drug prevention and control in the new situation, on July 25, 2014, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee issued Document No. 3292/-CV/TU on strengthening leadership and guidance in drug prevention and control. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requested all Party committees, Party organizations, government agencies, departments, the Fatherland Front, and people's organizations to effectively implement the following contents:
1. Review and thoroughly implement Conclusion No. 95-KL/TU dated April 2, 2014, of the Central Party Secretariat and Directive No. 13-CT/TU dated May 7, 2013, of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on continuing to strengthen leadership and guidance in drug prevention, control, and management in the new situation.
2. Strengthen propaganda and warnings about the dangers of drugs, especially among young people, unskilled laborers, and other high-risk groups.
3. Focus on directing a vigorous fight against drug crimes. Investigate, prosecute, and try drug-related law violations strictly, especially major cases, in order to deter, educate, and prevent violations.
