Strengthening management of transport business activities, restoring traffic order
(Baonghean.vn) - Do Luong district requested that the authorities should have a policy to put illegal vehicles under management to contribute to maintaining strict discipline in the transportation sector, restoring traffic order; ensuring equal business, and the correct type of transportation according to regulations.
On the morning of June 3, the survey delegation of the Provincial People's Council led by Comrade Pham Thanh Chung - Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee conducted a survey on law enforcement in ensuring order and road traffic safety in Do Luong district.

Recently, Do Luong district has implemented many propaganda measures to change awareness and compliance with traffic safety regulations of traffic participants.
The district has coordinated well with road management units in managing, investing, maintaining, protecting road traffic infrastructure and handling violations of traffic safety corridors in the area.

In 2021, the district and localities mobilized equipment, machinery, and human resources to maintain and repair about 90 km of rural roads in the area, with a total investment of over 110 billion VND.
In addition, the authorities have increased patrolling, control, detection and handling of traffic law violations.

From January 1, 2021 to March 30, 2022, the Traffic Police force of Do Luong District Police has recorded 2,084 cases, of which 1,973 cases have been handled, collecting more than 2.5 billion VND to the State budget. Detected and handled 296 cases of violations of oversized, overloaded, modified vehicles, and scattered cargo.
The work of clearing violations and preventing re-encroachment of traffic safety corridors has been implemented by the Party Committees and authorities at all levels of the district with specific solutions.
In particular, implementing Resolution 56/NQ-HDND, the Party Committees and authorities of communes and towns have had specific implementation solutions, assigning responsibilities to each member of the Steering Committee for Clearance, local socio-political organizations, and officials in charge of organizing the implementation of the targets set out in the Resolution.

At the same time, regularly coordinate with road management units to organize campaigns to clear or handle violations of traffic safety corridors.
At the same time, the district coordinates with relevant agencies and organizations in ensuring traffic safety and order, especially eliminating traffic accident black spots.

Clarifying the contents of the survey team's concern, Vice Chairman of Do Luong District People's Committee Nguyen Trung Thanh said that in the coming time, Do Luong District will continue to direct functional forces to strengthen propaganda, dissemination, overcome shortcomings and limitations in transportation activities, strictly handle violations, especially the following acts: Disguised passenger transport business (illegal vehicles, illegal vehicles, passenger vehicles disguised as contract vehicles, tourist vehicles), violations of stopping, picking up and dropping off passengers, violations of transporting overloaded goods, exceeding the limit size, arbitrarily changing the size of the vehicle body, etc.
The locality hopes that the authorities will have a policy to put unlicensed vehicles under management that have been registered for business and pay taxes to contribute to maintaining discipline in the transportation sector, restoring traffic order; ensuring equal business, and the correct type of transportation according to regulations.

At the meeting with the survey team, Do Luong district also requested the Provincial People's Committee to continue to pay attention to allocating funding sources to carry out the work of clearing traffic safety corridors, preventing re-encroachment of traffic safety corridors; and carry out the work of managing and regularly maintaining rural traffic bridges and roads.
In addition, the district requested the Department of Transport and road management units to fully install road boundary markers and land markers, install cross-sections of planned national and provincial roads in the district and hand them over to local authorities for protection and management; speed up the progress of installing traffic lights, and promptly eliminate potential traffic accident spots in the district.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Pham Thanh Chung - Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested Do Luong to continue to do a good job of propaganda to raise awareness of traffic participants; synchronously deploy solutions to prevent re-encroachment of traffic safety corridors.
