Strengthening radio frequency management

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 10, in Vinh City, the Regional Radio Frequency Center VI held a conference to coordinate radio frequency management work in 2016 with the Department of Information and Communications of Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Phan Tam - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Currently, in the 4 provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh, there are 4,534 licenses to use radio frequencies and equipment, with nearly 30,000 radio devices.

In 2016, the Center coordinated with the Departments of Information and Communications of provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh to write propaganda articles on mass media and organize 6 training conferences for those managing and using radio frequencies.

With 7 fixed control stations located in 4 provinces and 2 mobile control vehicles, the Center regularly controls key areas with a lot of radio communication equipment; innovates control methods in the direction of shifting from manual control to technical control as directed by the Department. Fixed control stations are operated 24/24 hours.

The Center coordinated with the Departments to conduct 4 inspections of 67 units, discovering 6 units violating State regulations in the field of radio frequencies and broadcasting equipment, all violations were thoroughly handled.

At the meeting, representatives of the Departments of Information and Communications of the four provinces discussed the achievements and remaining problems, and proposed solutions for the future. Currently, there are many large industrial parks in the area with high demand for the use of radio frequencies. The Center is requested to have a plan to control frequencies in industrial clusters and provide licensing instructions according to regulations; Organize training courses for staff of the Departments of Information and Communications on specialized content on how to detect and handle interference sources.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Phan Tam - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications highly appreciated the coordination activities of the Center and the Departments of Information and Communications in the past time.

He also suggested that units coordinate from the stage of building annual plans, should choose key issues to resolve together, further improving the quality of operations. In the coming time, increase the application of new technology, information technology, and connect the nationwide frequency network system to handle interference quickly and centrally.
