Strengthening exchange and learning of experiences between Nghe An and Cuba

On the morning of August 21, a high-ranking delegation of the Cuban Committee for the Defense of the Revolution led by Comrade Carlos Rafael Miranda Martinez - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Cuban Committee for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Nghe An province.

At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh expressed his joy at welcoming the high-ranking delegation from Cuba, the homeland of President Fidel Castro.

Giving a general introduction about the province, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh said that Nghe An is a revolutionary homeland, a place that has produced many talents for the country. Promoting the traditional values ​​of indomitability, today Nghe An is focusing on economic development and improving the quality of life for the people.

The province focuses on developing green, clean, and environmentally friendly industries; restructuring the agricultural sector towards value chain linkages and increasing the value of goods. Currently, Nghe An is in the top 10 of Vietnam in terms of growth rate.

In the extensive cooperation relationship, Nghe An has strengthened and expanded cooperation with many localities of many countries in the world. Regarding Cuba, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh expressed his impression of a beautiful country, especially Cuba's strength in economic development.

“Despite the great geographical distance, many Vietnamese people in general and Nghe An people in particular still wish to visit Cuba - a brotherly country - once” - Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized, at the same time affirming that Nghe An will strengthen propaganda and promote the image of Cuba so that people with conditions will come to visit, connect and cooperate, contributing to strengthening the tradition of solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cuba that has been laid the foundation for nearly 60 years.

On behalf of the delegation, President of the Cuban Committee for the Defense of the Revolution Carlos Rafael Miranda Martinez thanked the leaders of Nghe An province for their warm welcome, and expressed his honor to come to Nghe An - the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh on the important occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death.

Mr. Carlos Rafael Miranda Martinez said that President Fidel Castro was the one who established the Committee for the Defense of the Cuban Revolution, with the mission of creating unity among revolutionaries and protecting the country.

Referring to the development of the Cuban economy, Mr. Carlos Rafael Miranda Martinez said that Cuba still faces many difficulties due to the embargo, but the Cuban people always strive to improve their lives every day. In particular, Cuba focuses on developing the tourism, agriculture, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Following the teachings of President Fidel Castro, Cuba has strengthened cooperation with many nations around the world to exchange and learn from experiences. In particular, the Party, State and people of Cuba are grateful for the enthusiastic support of the Vietnamese people.

Through this, the Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of the Cuban Revolution affirmed his readiness to strengthen cooperation with Nghe An province to promote the Vietnam - Cuba friendship.
