The document clearly stated that, in the past time, the leadership and direction of epidemic prevention and control in some units and localities were sometimes limited, revealing subjectivity and shortcomings; the exemplary role of some cadres and party members has not been promoted well,... Therefore, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee requested the Party Committees and affiliated Party organizations to thoroughly grasp the viewpoints and policies of the Party and State and the directions of the Provincial Party Committee and District Party Committee on the work of preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic, and at the same time proactively concretize them in accordance with the actual conditions of the locality and unit for effective implementation. Promote the leadership role and political core of the Party organization; the sense of responsibility and pioneering and exemplary nature of the contingent of cadres and party members, especially the heads of Party committees and organizations. All cadres and party members must be truly exemplary and take the lead in epidemic prevention and control, first of all in the locality, work unit, and place of residence.

Every month, subordinate Party committees must issue resolutions to lead the work of epidemic prevention and control in the area. Timely provide information on the epidemic situation and measures to prevent and control the epidemic to Party cells to thoroughly understand the Party members and propagate to the masses. Assign members of the Party Standing Committee and members of the Party Executive Committee to be in charge of residential area Party cells, directly and regularly direct and be responsible for the results of leadership of epidemic prevention and control work in the area.

The subordinate Party cells include the content of Covid-19 prevention and control in their regular and ad hoc activities when necessary; clearly assign each Party member to be in charge of each area and each household to grasp the situation, and at the same time propagate and mobilize people to effectively implement epidemic prevention and control measures; participate in monitoring home quarantine and other epidemic prevention and control activities taking place in the area; promote the core role in community Covid-19 teams and self-managed security teams; grasp the cases going to and from the area, in order to thoroughly carry out medical declaration work and quarantine cases returning from epidemic areas.

According to the report of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in Yen Thanh District, as of 6:00 a.m. on August 16, in Yen Thanh District, there were 1,143 people in centralized quarantine at 76 clusters; 1,119 people were in medical quarantine at home. The entire district had 62 people infected with Covid-19, including 3 cross-infection cases in Son Thanh Commune and 1 community case in Nhan Thanh Commune, the rest had returned from epidemic provinces and had been in centralized quarantine before.
