Increase the allowance for those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution.
The government has just issued a decree replacing Decree No. 101/2013/ND-CP, increasing the level of subsidies and allowances.
Accordingly, the standard amount for determining allowances and preferential benefits for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution will increase from 1,220,000 VND to 1,318,000 VND. Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and Labor Heroes during the resistance war will receive an allowance of 1,105,000 VND/month.
According to the new decree, if a fallen soldier no longer has a beneficiary receiving a monthly survivor's pension, the person who worships the fallen soldier will receive a worship allowance of 500,000 VND per year.
The government also issued a decree stipulating that civil servants, public employees, and those receiving salaries in the armed forces with a salary coefficient of 2.34 or less will receive an additional salary increase of 8% of their current salary.
Decree No. 14/2015/ND-CP, recently issued, stipulates seven categories of social policy beneficiaries entitled to free or reduced train fares. These include: people who participated in revolutionary activities before January 1, 1945; people who participated in revolutionary activities from January 1, 1945, to before the General Uprising on August 19, 1945; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; war invalids and those receiving benefits similar to war invalids; people who participated in the resistance war and were exposed to chemical toxins; people with severe and profound disabilities; and children under 6 years old.
