Increase monthly allowance for retired commune officials
The Ministry of Home Affairs has just issued Circular 09/2019/TT-BNV guiding the adjustment of monthly allowance levels from July 1, 2019 for commune officials who have retired according to Decision No. 130-CP dated June 20, 1975 of the Government Council and Decision No. 111-HDBT dated October 13, 1981 of the Council of Ministers.

Accordingly, from July 1, 2019, the monthly allowance level for retired elderly commune officials will be adjusted according to the provisions of Article 2 of Decree No. 44/2019/ND-CP of the Government, adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances to increase by 7.19% of the monthly allowance level above the allowance level enjoyed at the time of June 2019, specifically as follows:
Formula for adjusting monthly allowance from July 1, 2019:
Monthly allowance received from July 1, 2019 = Allowance received at June 2019 x 1.0719
The monthly allowance from July 1, 2019 for retired old communal cadres (rounded according to the above calculation formula) is as follows: For cadres who were former Party Committee Secretaries and Commune People's Committee Chairmen: VND 1,974,000/month x 1.0719 = VND 2,116,000/month.
For former officials who are Deputy Secretary, Vice Chairman, Standing Party Committee member, Secretary of People's Committee, Secretary of Commune People's Council, Commune Team Leader, Commune Police Chief: VND 1,910,000/month x 1.0719 = VND 2,048,000/month.
For the remaining positions: VND 1,768,000/month x 1.0719 = VND 1,896,000/month.
This Circular takes effect from August 1, 2019.
The regime prescribed in this Circular shall be implemented from July 1, 2019.
