At the extraordinary meeting on October 24, the People's Council of Thua Thien Hue province approved the fee for visiting Hue historical and cultural relics in the Hue Monuments Complex until 2020.

Accordingly, the entrance fee for domestic and foreign visitors to Hue Imperial Palace will increase to 120,000 VND/person for adults and 30,000 VND for children; the Minh Mang Tomb, Tu Duc Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb relic sites will be 100,000 VND/person for adults and 20,000 VND for children...

The old fee currently applied to international visitors is only from 40,000 VND to 105,000 VND/person/location/trip; domestic visitors are from 30,000 VND to 75,000 VND/person/location/trip.

Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said: “Currently, the State's investment in the restoration and conservation of heritage sites has received great attention. However, the resources we have are still limited, so we need to adjust ticket prices to increase revenue and reinvest in the restoration and conservation of heritage sites. We have compared with other localities with world heritage sites and countries in the region to have appropriate adjustments to ensure that they do not affect sightseeing tours.”
