Giving gifts to Anh Son parishes on the occasion of Christmas

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of Christmas 2016, on December 22, the People's Committee of Anh Son district organized delegations to visit, congratulate and give gifts to parishes in the area.

Comrade Dang Thanh Tung - Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee visited and presented gifts to Dong Lam parish, Hung Son commune.

The delegations visited and celebrated Christmas at Quan Lang parish (Tuong Son commune); Dong Lam parish (Hung Son commune); Lang Dien parish (Thach Son commune) and Yen Linh parish (Linh Son commune).

With the spirit of “respecting God and loving the country”, last year, the parishioners of Anh Son district enthusiastically competed in labor production, economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, joining hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas. In particular, the parishioners donated over 3,500 m²land, contributed 11 billion VND and 3,000 working days in building new rural areas.

With the attention of the Pastoral Council of parishes, parishes, and Catholic Solidarity Committees at all levels, the movement of living a good life and a good religion, building an advanced parish, and cultural life in residential areas in the Catholic community has been effectively implemented. In 2016, the number of households achieving the title of cultural family reached 84.2%.
