(Baonghean.vn) -On February 12th, the Vinh City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee organized two delegations to visit and present gifts to young men from disadvantaged families who are preparing to enlist in the army.

The first delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Canh Thao - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Commander of the Vinh City Military Command. The second delegation was led by Comrade Nguyen Ba Tuong - Member of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee.

Two delegations visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to the families and 22 young men (including 7 Catholic youths) who are preparing to enlist in the army and are facing particularly difficult circumstances, encouraging them to strive to fulfill their civic duties to the country and their homeland with excellence.

Over the past period, Vinh City has directed its departments and organizations to closely coordinate with the Party committees and authorities of the wards and communes in the area to effectively carry out propaganda, education, resource management, registration, preliminary and medical examinations, finalize troop numbers, and issue conscription orders, thus ensuring the quality of the assigned troop numbers. In the first recruitment wave of 2014, Vinh City had 140 young men enlisting in the army, of which 44 had received Party membership training; 88.86% had health classifications of type 1 and type 2; and over 82.14% had completed high school education.
