Wages to increase from mid-2024 and by 5-7% from 2025
The salary increase roadmap will be implemented from mid-2024 and increase by 5-7% from 2025 to ensure that salaries approach the high salaries of the private sector 1.
On October 19, the Secretary General of the National Assembly held a press conference on the proposed agenda of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly. It is expected that at this session, the National Assembly will give its opinion on the roadmap for reforming wage policies according to Resolution 27 of the Central Committee, with the expected implementation date starting from July 1, 2024.
Informing the press about this content, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Quy, Standing Member of the Social Committee, said that the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee recently issued a resolution and assigned the Government to submit to the National Assembly the progress of salary reform.
According to the conclusion of the 8th Central Conference, the implementation roadmap will start from July 1, 2024, with the spirit and viewpoint of implementing the 6 contents of Resolution 27 of the Central Committee on salary reform.
In particular, a new salary table will be built to replace the current salary table, including salary tables for leadership positions from the central to grassroots levels, professional salary tables, and three salary tables for the armed forces.
At the same time, arrange and reduce the allowance regime compared to the present; the bonus regime is equal to 10% of the basic salary fund excluding allowances; the salary increase regime; the funding source to implement the salary reform regime; and the sixth is salary and income management.
Regarding the funding source for salary reform, Mr. Quy said that the Government reported to the Central Conference that the salary reform source has been prepared for the period 2024 - 2026. After 2024, that is from 2025, a 5-7% increase in salary will be implemented to ensure a suitable salary level approaching the private sector 1./.
