At the ceremony, the Nghe An Border Guard Command and the Con Cuong District Party Committee and People's Committee presented a solar energy system worth 400 million VND to the unit, each side invested 200 million VND. The Thai Hoa Town Party Committee - People's Committee, a sister unit, presented Chau Khe Border Post with a hot water boiler worth 100 million VND; the Chau Khe Commune Party Committee - People's Committee (where the unit is located) presented the unit with a gym worth 50 million VND.
Chau Khe Border Guard Station manages 24 km of the Vietnam - Laos border, is the only border guard station in the province and the whole country that is currently in a state of "3 no's": no national grid electricity, no telephone connection (both mobile and landline) and no people (the unit is 20 km from the nearest residential area). This "3 no's" situation has caused many difficulties in the unit's work, combat readiness and daily activities.
