Creating a clear change at a higher level in studying and following Uncle Ho's example in Nghe An

On the afternoon of July 15, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held an online conference for the whole province to review 5 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, dated May 15, 2016 of the 12th Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; deploy Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the 13th Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW; launch the Award for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle".

The conference was organized online from the main bridge at the Provincial Party Committee headquarters to 4 provincial-level bridges and district, city, town and affiliated party committees.

CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong emphasized that organizing the conference is one of the particularly practical and meaningful tasks to spread the heritage and precious values ​​of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and have a deeper impact on the whole society.

After 5 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, Nghe An has achieved many important results; a system of directive documents and implementation instructions has been issued synchronously; many programs, movements, models and typical examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle have been built, replicated and implemented effectively.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee has led and directed the selection, resolution and handling of many breakthrough contents, creating positive changes in economic and social development, Party building and the political system.

In particular, the province has built 4 breakthrough contents including: Focusing on building the image of Nghe An Party members as exemplary and prestigious among the people; renewing thinking, being truly open-minded, promoting internal strength, taking advantage of external strength in attracting investment; continuing to maintain campaigns, good practices, practical and effective models; launching the emulation movement "Nghe An follows Uncle Ho's advice".

Through the implementation of Directive 05, the awareness, consciousness, soul, personality and responsibility of each person, especially cadres and party members, have been increasingly improved, people's hearts have become increasingly pure, contributing to the stability and development of society.

From the movement of studying and following Uncle Ho, in the whole province, many typical and advanced collectives and individuals have emerged, spreading the message, arousing emotions, encouraging all classes of people in the whole province to enthusiastically compete and strive to successfully carry out assigned political tasks in all fields of work.

SEESOLVING DIFFICULT, OUTSTANDING, AND PENDING PROBLEMS IS A BREAKTHROUGH

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, giving a speech to direct and summarize the conference, besides acknowledging the achieved results and pointing out the shortcomings and limitations in the recent past, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy emphasized a number of issues so that Party committees and political systems at all levels can have more determination, initiative and creativity in continuing to implement Directive 05 of the Politburo in the coming time.

First of all, in terms of viewpoint, the Provincial Party Secretary requested to continue to clearly identify the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle and the example-setting of cadres and party members, especially leaders, as an important content in the work of Party building and rectification.

Implementing Directive 05 is not only the responsibility and sentiment of the Party Committee and the people of the province and the homeland towards Him, it is also the driving force to build Nghe An province into a prosperous province, to respond to the expectations of Uncle Ho, the Central Government and the people inside and outside the province.

“Studying and following Uncle Ho is lifelong, daily, practical, and personal; it is the voluntary work of each person and each organization; no one can do it for us; it is regular and continuous, not a one-time thing. Each of us sitting here must deeply understand this in order to direct its implementation well,” the head of the Provincial Party Committee advised.

Regarding the content, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that it is necessary to look into the reality of the locality, unit, and sector, select the key contents, the most difficult, prominent, and long-standing issues of the locality, unit, and sector to resolve them thoroughly, decisively, and effectively, considering it a breakthrough in implementing Directive 05.

Each individual party member must choose the most difficult shortcomings and limitations to commit to and resolve to correct and overcome. Party cells, agencies and units must be responsible for monitoring and assisting in this correction.

Along with that, it is necessary to focus on effectively implementing the political tasks of localities and units, especially sticking to the action program to implement the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels to jointly achieve the common goal, which is also the biggest goal of the province, which is to strive to become a fairly developed province in the North by 2025 and a fairly developed province in the whole country by 2030.

Also in the implementation content, noting that the further away from the people, the closer to failure, the Provincial Party Secretary especially emphasized the importance of building a close relationship between the Party and the people; arousing, nurturing and promoting the people's hearts to contribute to the successful implementation of political tasks; must listen to the people with a spirit of openness and understanding to resolve the difficulties and concerns of the people.

“Each cadre and party member, especially those in leadership positions and heads, must be a shining example to the people in terms of ethics, lifestyle, political qualities and professional capacity, so that the people believe, love, understand and follow, with the viewpoint of “party members go first, the country follows”, “tops first, bottoms later”, “inside first, outside later”.

Along with that, we must respect and trust the strength of the people; at the same time, organize and mobilize the people to participate in emulation movements, and well implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws.

In the process of implementing Directive 05, it is necessary to closely combine "building" and "fighting"; in which "building" is fundamental and strategic; "fighting" is important and urgent.

Regarding the implementation method, comrade Thai Thanh Quy emphasized the need to harmoniously combine law and ethics, humanity; rule of law and rule of virtue in implementing the study and following of Uncle Ho.

“I hope that after this conference, we will have new determinations, better implement Directive 05 and Conclusion 01 of the Politburo, more thoroughly, more practically and more effectively. Together with Resolution 4 of the Central Committee and other Resolutions of the Party, create a clear change at a higher level in studying and following Uncle Ho's example, so that each of us, each of our organizations will be better, more transparent, build a clean and strong Nghe An Party Committee, and help Nghe An make a breakthrough in the coming time”, the head of the Provincial Party Committee shared.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary Thai Thanh Quy presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Tran Thanh - Mon Son Border Guard Station, Con Cuong District, Nghe An Province for her outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in the period 2016 - 2021. On this occasion, 28 collectives and 31 individuals were also commended by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee Chairman.
