Create the best conditions for candidates to take the 2018 exams

At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Education and Training presented new features of the 2018 National High School Exam, admission to grade 10 high school, Phan Boi Chau specialized high school, and ethnic minority high school for the 2018-2019 school year.

In particular, with the National High School Exam, this year according to the policy of the Ministry of Education and Training, the exam will be strongly differentiated with 20% of the program belonging to grade 11 knowledge, removing the floor score and reducing priority scores in region 2 and region 3.

In this exam, Nghe An has 31,597 candidates registered to take the exam, of which 12,590 candidates only take the exam for graduation. It is expected that the exam cluster No. 28 chaired by the Nghe An Department of Education and Training will have 60 exam sites with a total of 1,350 exam rooms. The Ministry of Education and Training has also assigned 8 universities to coordinate invigilation at the exam sites.

For the 10th grade entrance exam, this is the first year Nghe An has applied the combined test, so the Department has also planned and detailed the exam invigilation and grading work and has issued sample exam papers for schools to review in time. Other exams will be held simultaneously in June 2018, earlier than previous years.

The meeting also approved the list of members of the Steering Committee for the 2018 provincial exams with 34 members. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Minh Thong is the head of the committee, in charge of general management and coordination between provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the preparation work of the Department of Education and Training. He also reminded the Department of Education and Training and members of the Steering Committee to clearly define the tasks of each member and make a specific plan to inspect all examination sites.

He also noted that during the organization of the exams, it is necessary to ensure safety, compliance with regulations and create the most favorable conditions for students to participate in the exams. In addition, it is necessary to proactively coordinate with universities and academies mobilized by the Ministry of Education and Training to effectively carry out the task of organizing the exams.
