Four historical figures – Ly Thuong Kiet, Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, Emperor Quang Trung – Nguyen Hue, and General Vo Nguyen Giap – will be sculpted as part of the "Famous Vietnamese Generals" project.



This program is organized by the Heritage Club with the support of the Vietnam Historical Society.Male, UNESCO Hanoi Association. The launch ceremony was held at 8:30 AM on August 24th at the Auditorium of the Vietnam Military History Museum, 28A Dien Bien Phu Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.


The "Famous Vietnamese Generals" project aims to introduce to the public applied art products that embody the cultural values ​​and heritage of the country, honoring the heroes and prominent figures in history, bringing people closer to, better understanding of, and greater pride in the achievements of their ancestors in the process of building the nation.

The "Famous Vietnamese Generals" project features sculptures of four historical figures: Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, based on a statue model by Meritorious Artist, painter, and sculptor Vuong Duy Bien; Emperor Quang Trung, based on a statue model by Associate Professor, educator, and sculptor Vuong Hoc Bao; the image of Viet Quoc Cong Ly Thuong Kiet, designed by artist Ha Dung Hiep; and the sculpture of General Vo Nguyen Giap, designed by artist Dang Xuan Hung.

Notably, this event will feature the unveiling of a draft painting titled "Epic Poem," projected to be over 16 meters long, created by artist Nguyen Doan Son, depicting the life, background, and career of General Vo Nguyen Giap. All of this will be vividly and subtly portrayed in a large-scale drawing, which will be displayed and presented for feedback from experts and the general public.
