Creating 'resistance' in the cultural field, against 'peaceful evolution'

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 21, the Department of Propaganda and Training - General Department of Politics coordinated with the Political Department of Military Region 4 to organize a conference on preventing "peaceful evolution" in the field of ideology and culture; promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's morality and lifestyle.

Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 4 attended the conference. Major General Ho Ba Vinh, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics, and Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa, Political Commissar of Military Region 4 co-chaired the conference.

After listening to the report on the implementation results of Directive 34-CT/TW and Directive 05-CT/TW at agencies and units throughout the army and Military Region 4, the opinions presented at the conference focused on analyzing and clarifying a number of good models and new ways of doing things in the work of preventing "peaceful evolution" in the field of ideology and culture and in education and ideological orientation, creating "resistance" for soldiers against the sabotage activities of hostile forces.

Along with that, the conference focused on discussing the basic new points of Directive 05 dated May 15, 2016 compared to Directive 03 on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example.

Based on the discussion and recording of recommendations and proposals of delegates at the conference, the Department of Propaganda - General Department of Politics and the Political Department of Military Region 4 continue to research, absorb, and promptly propose specific policies, plans, and solutions to deploy to agencies, units, and individuals.

Thereby, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the struggle against "peaceful evolution" on the ideological and cultural fronts associated with studying and following the moral example and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh; thoroughly grasping, studying and successfully implementing the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress and the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (Term XII) in the army and the Armed Forces of Military Region 4.
