Creating new momentum for Vietnam - Russia relations
Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Ngo Duc Manh said that Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Vietnam (from November 18 to 19) will help create new momentum for Vietnam-Russia relations, while Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin Vnukov emphasized that the will to develop Russia-Vietnam relations is widely supported in Russian society.
Young women from Hanoi Capital presented flowers to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev upon his arrival at Noi Bai International Airport on the evening of November 18, 2018.
Tested by time and historical vicissitudes
Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh said that during the visit, Prime Minister Medvedev will have in-depth discussions with our leaders on specific directions and measures to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in all aspects. The two sides will jointly promote economic, trade and investment cooperation to match the very high level of political trust between the two countries.
The visit of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is of great significance, creating a new, strong impetus to continue consolidating political trust and promoting the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries to become increasingly deeper, more substantial and more effective.
Following the very successful official visit to the Russian Federation by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in early September 2018, this visit to Vietnam by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is the first visit by a senior Russian leader to Vietnam after President Vladimir Putin was re-elected in March 2018.
According to Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh, the relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation has been tested by time and historical changes, becoming a valuable asset of the people of the two countries. The fact that the two sides regularly exchange high-level delegations shows that the relationship between the two countries has a very high level of political trust and is developing strongly in both breadth and depth with many great achievements in all fields.
A close and friendly foundation for the past 70 years
"Vietnam's consistent policy is to always attach importance to and wish to further consolidate and promote the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Russian Federation, considering Russia one of Vietnam's most important and trustworthy partners. For its part, Russia considers Vietnam a leading important partner in the Southeast Asian region and is determined to develop a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam," Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh affirmed.
Meanwhile, according to Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin Vnukov, Russia-Vietnam relations, based on the close and friendly foundation of the past 70 years, are developing impressively. What needs to be done now is to realize the agreements between the two sides as well as complete breakthrough joint projects.
"I am absolutely confident that Prime Minister Medvedev's visit to Vietnam will be a great success, further strengthening the traditional friendship between Russia and Vietnam," the Russian Ambassador said, affirming that the prospects for economic and trade cooperation between Russia and Vietnam are very large.
First of all, the implementation of the Vietnam - Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement not only increases the turnover of goods between the two countries but also contributes to making the trade exchange structure between the two countries gradually more balanced and diverse, creating "new growth points".
