At 6:15 p.m. on November 19, a daring robbery occurred at Kim Dung II gold shop on Tran Thu Do street (Viem Trung village, Dien Ngoc ward, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam).

At that time, Mr. Tien and his wife, the owners of the gold shop mentioned above, were sitting downstairs eating when they heard the sound of a glass cabinet being broken.
Mr. Dung hurriedly ran up and saw a young man wearing black clothes, a mask and a helmet running from the shop to the motorbike parked in front and speeding towards Hoi An.
At the scene of the robbery, the glass case containing the gold was smashed. There was also a hammer next to the case.
According to initial information, the subject took away about 5 taels of gold, including dozens of 18K gold necklaces and a number of gold rings with a total value of about 120 million VND.

Upon receiving the news, Dien Ban Town Police arrived at the scene to investigate. The incident attracted local residents and a large crowd of curious passersby.
In June and August 2018, in Dien Ban town, there were also 2 similar robberies and thefts at gold shops. However, to date, the police have not yet caught the perpetrators.
