Playboy magazine deletes fanpage, announces "stop playing" with Facebook
Supporting the movement to delete Facebook after the scandal of "selling out" users, adult magazine Playboy officially deleted its fanpage with more than 25 million followers.
Adult magazine representativePlayboy justannounced that it will no longer use Facebook as a communication channel for its products. "We will no longer use Facebook after the recent scandal," the creative directorPlayboyCooper Hefner confirmed.
That means the group's Facebook account with 25 million likesPlayboywill disappear from the world's largest social networking platform. Mr. Cooper Hefner said that Facebook's operating principles were completely at odds with the magazine's values.Playboy.

"Facebook's misuse of user data has led us to the final decision to stop all activities on the platform. More than 25 million fans interacted withPlayboyacross multiple Facebook pages, and we don't want to be responsible for exposing their information," Cooper Hefner wrote on Twitter.
Following his announcement, the official Facebook page ofPlayboyhas been shut down. However, Playboy remains active on Instagram, another photo and video sharing platform owned by Facebook.
