On the Can Tho side, Mr. Le Hung Dung, Chairman of the City People's Committee, stated that electricity supply for production and daily life in Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region has at many times still not met development requirements.
Therefore, attracting investment in power plants in Can Tho is essential for the future. Can Tho City will support this project and will provide maximum assistance to the corporation within the scope and framework of the city government.
However, according to Mr. Dung, investing in a thermal power plant involves many ministries and agencies of the Government, so Can Tho will consult with relevant agencies before making a decision.
