(Baonghean.vn) – With the aim of sharing the difficulties with people in mountainous areas, on September 17-18, the Nguyen Gia Thao Fund (Sao Sang Hai Phong Group), the People's Police Newspaper, philanthropists, and the Alumni Association of Class 12D (1994-1997) of Ha Huy Tap High School (Vinh City) organized a trip to visit and donate gifts to several communes in the mountainous district of Ky Son.

Do đường mưa lầy, xe tải chở quà dừng lại tại dốc vào xã Huồi Tụ. Từ đây, đoàn thuê 25 chiếc xe máy để chở quà vào tận các bản
Due to the muddy road caused by the rain, the truck carrying the gifts stopped at the slope leading to Huoi Tu commune. From there, the group hired 25 motorbikes to transport the gifts to the villages.

Ms. Dang Thi Mai Huong - Representative of Sao Sang Hai Phong Group (center) and members of the delegation distribute gifts to the people of Huoi Mu and Huoi Le villages (Huoi Tu commune - Ky Son district).

Ky Son is one of three districts in Nghe An province classified as among the poorest districts in the country. The people in the district still heavily rely on government subsidies, which is a significant obstacle to the district's development. In particular, the two communes of Huoi Tu and Na Loi remain classified as poor communes. The lives of the people mainly depend on slash-and-burn agriculture and small-scale livestock farming.

In Na Loi commune, the delegation also visited, shared, and presented gifts to 40 households in Huoi Ngoi village and 60 households in Don Boong village. These villages, inhabited by the Khmu ethnic group, are considered particularly disadvantaged and border Xieng Khouang province of Laos. In total, the delegation distributed gifts to 224 households in Ky Son district, with 224 gift packages worth over 200 million VND. Each gift package included blankets, mosquito nets, clothes, rice, salt, sugar, soap, dishes, sandals, and mooncakes.
