TH Group joins hands to support the community to 'Green up the forest'
Continuing the journey of “repairing” the forests of the Northwest, TH Group has supported and accompanied people and sustainable development organizations to carry out active forest planting activities, contributing to the restoration of 10 hectares of forest in Pa Cop - Hua Tat, Van Ho commune, Van Ho district, Son La province and 15 hectares of forest in Hang Kia-Pa Co Nature Reserve, Hoa Binh province.

In response to World Environment Day with the theme “land restoration, drought and desertification prevention”, on June 2, TH Group accompanied and supported the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), Van Ho District Forest Protection Department, Van Ho District Youth Union, Van Ho Commune People's Committee and the Center for People and Nature (PanNature) to launch and implement the Green Forest Program in 2024 with the goal of reforesting some forest areas in Hoa Binh and Son La provinces. The event attracted more than 300 delegates, people, volunteers from businesses, and youth from all over the country to participate in forest planting.
“Reforestation is considered one of the important solutions to contribute to promoting the achievement of sustainable development goals set by the United Nations. Because forests play an extremely important role in human life. And each of us has the responsibility to preserve, protect and restore this invaluable resource,” shared Dr. Pham Quang Thao, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, who participated in the forest planting event.
He also said that the Vietnamese Government has launched the Project "Planting one billion trees in the period of 2021 - 2025" to mobilize forces nationwide to plant, care for and protect nearly 700 million scattered trees in urban and rural areas and more than 300 million concentrated forest trees. The tree planting and forestation movement has since been vibrant and widespread with the active participation of organizations and individuals in many direct and indirect forms.

TH Group (the owner of the TH true MILK brand) with the motto "Cherish Mother Nature" always operates according to the principle of ensuring balance between economic growth, social development and environmental protection, contributing to building a sustainable future for all.
In Vietnam, TH is the founder and member of large organizations that take responsibility for limiting plastic waste, implementing sustainable development initiatives, protecting the environment and preserving biodiversity such as: Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance - PRO Vietnam, Vietnam Business Alliance for the Environment - VB4E, is an active member of the Alliance of retailers to reduce consumption of disposable plastic bags,...
Through the Sustainable Development policy consisting of 6 pillars: Nutrition-Health, Environment, People, Education, Community, and Animal Welfare, TH Group has pioneered the implementation of a green economic model, a circular economy with a closed-loop production chain "from green pastures to clean glasses of milk".
In the system of sustainable development solutions being implemented, TH has focused on accompanying and actively supporting forest planting activities - restoring forest quality - preserving natural ecosystems from very early on. In June 2024 alone, TH Group has simultaneously supported a series of sustainable forest resource development programs in many localities across the country such as the program of donating seedlings to support people in 5 districts in Lam Dong province to convert to ecological agriculture; the Green Forest program in Son La and Hoa Binh.

With the Green Forest program, this is the second consecutive year that TH has accompanied and supported forest planting and protection activities, protecting the diverse and rare ecosystems from the forests in Van Ho district, Son La province.
In the first year, TH Group sponsored more than 1,000 seedlings to help the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), the Center for People and Nature (PanNature) and the people's government of Van Ho district realize the program "Reforestation on rocky mountains".
Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy - Director of Sustainable Development of TH Group shared: “Afforestation along with forest protection, increasing forest coverage are also important indicators to help assess the level of sustainable development in countries. Therefore, TH Group is always ready to mobilize resources and actively cooperate with development organizations and environmental communities to carry out and spread beautiful actions and sustainable development values to the whole society. We believe that, with consensus and joint efforts, we can create positive and sustainable changes for the environment and society.”

With the joint support from businesses and the community, on June 2, 2024 alone, more than 16,000 new seedlings of rare tree varieties suitable for native forests were planted.
Ms. Phang Thi Ca - Head of the Hua Tat Commune Women's Union, after working with the volunteer group to plant nearly 200 Do, Tram, Que trees... on her family's rocky mountain area, was very moved. She shared: "Without the support of businesses and agencies like today, we don't know when we would have enough money to buy seedlings to replant our poor forest. We thank the business and the program very much!"
Sharing the same emotional feeling, Mr. Dang Phi Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Ho commune, Van Ho district, Son La province said: "We are very honored and grateful to TH Group for supporting resources such as seedlings, protective clothing, etc. for the people over the past 2 years, so that we have the resources and motivation to mobilize people to persevere in patching up the lost forests. I hope that in the future, TH Group will continue to support us for a longer time in restoring the forests of our homeland."
