In 2020, after an article by Nghe An Newspaper, Nguyen Thi Hien in Thanh An Commune (Thanh Chuong) and her younger sister were admitted to SOS Children's Village Vinh. The two sisters impressed the aunts and mothers in the village, because at that time Hien was only in 8th grade, had no place to depend on, and was raising her newborn sister alone in a small makeshift house. After more than 3 years in the village, Hien is in 11th grade and is cherishing the dream of studying Pedagogy to teach children in remote and poor areas. "Since coming here, my sisters and I no longer have to suffer from lack of food and clothing.
