Overview of the training session

Attending the training course, there were more than 70 trainees from Quynh Phuong Ward's fishing groups, the Core Mobilization Committee onshore, the heads of the Women's Associations of Quynh Phuong Ward and members of the Project Management Board. Through the training course, many important contents such as the current state of environmental pollution, especially the marine environment, the impact of environmental pollution on marine aquatic resources, the impact of destructive exploitation methods such as the use of explosives, electric shock, mines, etc. were discussed.

In fact, in recent times, environmental pollution has seriously affected the reproduction and development of marine life, causing marine resources to gradually become depleted. Quynh Phuong alone is the unit with the largest marine economic potential in Hoang Mai town today with over 600 vehicles and more than 3,600 workers directly at sea. In addition, the processing industry has developed strongly, and marine tourism has initially effectively exploited 2.2 km of coastline for the purpose of swimming, dining, and entertainment, attracting thousands of visitors from within and outside the province each year. If awareness is not raised in a timely manner for the community in preserving the living environment and coastal environment, the consequences will be very serious. This is a training program carried out annually under the sponsorship program of the Coastal Resources Protection Project for Sustainable Development of Nghe An province for coastal localities.
