Training on PCLB work and loan management

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 8th, the Provincial Youth Union organized the opening ceremony of a training course on flood and storm prevention and loan management in 2014. The training was attended by 120 participants, including grassroots Youth Union officials and leaders of youth volunteer teams for flood and storm prevention in wards and communes of key flood-prone districts in the province.

Over the two days of July 8th and 9th, trainees received information on the Party and State's new guidelines, policies, and laws on flood and storm prevention, search and rescue, and disaster mitigation; provincial support policies for crops, livestock, and aquaculture to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and epidemics; and some knowledge related to community-based disaster management and climate change adaptation actions. In addition, trainees also learned about the Party and State's new policies on credit programs for poor households and policy beneficiaries entrusted through the Social Policy Bank; and regulations on the organization and operation of savings and loan groups.

Through this training course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge to continue effectively implementing the tasks of the Youth Union in responding to and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters, storms, and floods, and to effectively manage entrusted loan funds for poor households and other policy beneficiaries.
