Training on PCLB and loan management

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 8, the Provincial Youth Union organized the opening of a training course on flood and storm prevention and loan management in 2014. Participating in the training were 120 trainees who were grassroots union officials and youth volunteer team leaders of flood and storm prevention in wards and communes in key flood and storm districts in the province.

During the two days of July 8 and 9, the trainees learned new policies and laws of the Party and State on flood and storm prevention, search and rescue and natural disaster mitigation; the province's support policies for crops, livestock and aquatic products to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and epidemics; some knowledge related to community-based disaster management and actions to adapt to climate change. In addition, the trainees will also have access to new policies of the Party and State on credit programs for poor households and policy beneficiaries entrusted through the Social Policy Bank; regulations on the organization and operation of savings and loan groups.

Through the training course, trainees will be equipped with knowledge to continue to effectively carry out the tasks of the Youth Union in responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods, and doing a good job of managing entrusted loans for poor households and other policy beneficiaries.
