Training on religious affairs
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, the Provincial People's Committee inaugurated a training course on religious affairs for key officials at the provincial and district levels. Attending the event were Mr. Pham Dung - Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior, Head of the Government's Religious Affairs Committee; and from Nghe An province: Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Thai Van Hang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives from the Government's Religious Affairs Committee and several provincial departments and agencies; and delegates from 20 districts, cities, and towns.
This training course aims to improve state management of religious affairs. Over two days, August 20-21, delegates received a presentation from Mr. Pham Dung, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior and Head of the Government Religious Affairs Committee, on several topics related to religion and the guiding principles of the Government Religious Affairs Committee. In addition, delegates also learned about: the Party and State's views and policies on religious affairs; the current situation and state management of emerging religious activities; the Catholic faith and state management of its activities; and the situation and ensuring religious security.

The class also covered topics such as: Marxism-Leninism and religion; Ho Chi Minh's thought on religion; religion in the context of globalization; and the relationship between states and religious organizations worldwide, both historically and in the modern era.
Following this training course, the participating establishments will implement the directives of the Government's Religious Affairs Committee. This includes strictly enforcing the management of religious activities in their respective areas.
