Religious work training

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 10, the People's Committee of Nghi Loc and Hung Nguyen districts held the opening ceremony of the 2015 Religious Work Training Course and National Defense, Security and Law Training Course for Religious Officials.

*Participating in the religious work training course in Nghi Loc district were 140 trainees who were Chairmen, Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee, Chairmen of the Fatherland Front Committee, judicial officers, and officers in charge of religion of 21 communes and towns in the district with religious followers.

140 trainees are key leaders, relevant departments, and religious officials of Nghi Loc district attending the training course.

During the two days, the students were conveyed four contents by the leaders of the Provincial Religious Committee. These are: some viewpoints, guidelines and policies of our Party and State on religious work in the new situation; characteristics of the situation of Catholicism and State management of Catholicism; current emerging issues in religion and guidelines and measures to resolve issues related to religion; procedures for handling violations related to religion.

*At the Hung Nguyen District Political Training Center, the District Defense and Security Education Council opened the 2015 National Defense, Security and Law Training Class for religious officials.

Delegates and 120 officials of the Pastoral Council of Catholic parishes and sub-parishes in Hung Nguyen district attended the opening ceremony.

Also during the 2 days, 120 officials of the Pastoral Council of Catholic parishes and churches in the district received 5 topics: The Communist Party's guidelines and viewpoints, policies and laws of the Vietnamese State on ethnicity and religion associated with national defense and security in the new situation; preventing the strategy of "Peaceful evolution" and violent overthrow by hostile forces against Vietnam; Some issues on combining economic and social development with strengthening and consolidating national defense and security; basic contents of a number of laws: "Law on National Defense", "Law on National Security", "Law on Military Service", "Law on National Defense and Security Education", "Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces", "Law on National Borders", "Law on Vietnam's Sea" and the Reserve Mobilization Ordinance; Building strong villages and hamlets to protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Through these courses, the aim is to equip government officials and the Vietnam Fatherland Front with basic knowledge of religious work, to improve the capacity of State management and mass mobilization work in religious areas in the new situation. To train religious officials to have a deep understanding of the viewpoints, guidelines and religious policies of the Party and State, the tasks of national defense and security in the new situation; to clearly understand the plots and tricks of "peaceful evolution" and violent overthrow of hostile forces against our country's revolution. Thereby, to enhance the responsibility and prestige of religious officials in the task of maintaining political security and social order and safety at the grassroots level, contributing to protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam./.
