Training on religious affairs
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 10th, the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district, Hung Nguyen province, held the opening ceremony of the Training Course on Religious Affairs and the Enhancement of Knowledge on National Defense, Security, and Law for religious officials in 2015.
*The religious affairs training course in Nghi Loc district was attended by 140 participants, including the Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons of the People's Committees, Chairpersons of the Fatherland Front Committees, judicial officers, and religious affairs officers from 21 communes and towns in the district with religious communities.

Over the course of two days, the trainees received instruction from the provincial Religious Affairs Department on four topics: some viewpoints, policies, and guidelines of the Party and State on religious affairs in the new situation; the characteristics of the Catholic Church and the State's management of the Catholic Church; emerging issues in religion today and the policies and measures to resolve related issues; and the process for handling violations related to religion.
*At the Hung Nguyen District Political Training Center, the District National Defense and Security Education Council inaugurated the 2015 training course on national defense and security knowledge and law for religious officials.

During the same two-day period, 120 officials from the pastoral councils of Catholic parishes and sub-parishes in the district received instruction on five topics: The Communist Party's guidelines and viewpoints, and the Vietnamese State's policies and laws on ethnicity and religion in relation to national defense and security in the new situation; countering the "peaceful evolution" strategy and subversive riots by hostile forces against Vietnam; some issues on combining economic and social development with strengthening and consolidating national defense and security; the basic content of several laws: "National Defense Law," "National Security Law," "Military Service Law," "National Defense and Security Education Law," "Militia and Self-Defense Law," "National Border Law," "Vietnam Maritime Law," and the Reserve Mobilization Decree; and building strong villages and hamlets as a requirement to protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
These training courses aim to equip government officials and the Vietnam Fatherland Front with basic knowledge of religious affairs, thereby enhancing their capacity for state management and mass mobilization in religious communities in the new context. They also aim to cultivate in religious leaders a deep understanding of the Party and State's views, guidelines, and policies on religion, as well as national defense and security tasks in the new situation; and to help them understand the schemes and tactics of "peaceful evolution" and subversive riots by hostile forces against our revolution. Through this, the responsibility and prestige of religious leaders in maintaining political security and social order at the grassroots level will be enhanced, contributing to the protection of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
