Training in speaking skills and providing information to the press

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, April 24, under the chairmanship of comrade To Hong Hai - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial People's Committee held a training conference on state management of foreign information.

Attending the training session were leaders, heads, spokespeople of provincial departments, branches, central and local press agencies in the area; leaders of districts, cities and towns. Comrade Le Van Nghiem - Director of the Department of External Information - Ministry of Information and Communications briefed on the thematic contents.

During the 1-day period, delegates were informed of the following contents: Instructions on implementing foreign information work at the local level; overview of foreign information work; handling media crises, how to write press releases; how to answer press interviews; steps to prepare for press conferences; criteria, standards, responsibilities and roles of spokespersons and information providers for the press.

Overview of the conference

Speaking at the conference, comrade To Hong Hai - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department emphasized: Foreign information is an activity that plays an important role in the process of international economic integration, however, compared to the requirements of the task, this information work is still limited. Therefore, in the coming time, foreign information activities need to continue to effectively implement tasks in the spirit of the Politburo's Conclusion on the Foreign Information Development Strategy for the period 2011-2020 and the Prime Minister's Decision approving the Prime Minister's action program on foreign information for the period 2013-2020. Proactively develop and implement foreign information and propaganda activities to promote Nghe An; Continue to innovate and diversify forms and methods of foreign information activities; Improve the effectiveness of the fight against false information, distorted and destructive arguments of opportunistic and hostile forces; Continue to improve the organization, operating mechanism, and mechanism for speaking and providing information to the press.
