(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, April 24th, under the chairmanship of Comrade To Hong Hai - Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial People's Committee organized a training conference on state management of external information.

Comrade To Hong Hai delivered a speech at the conference.

Attending the training session were leaders, heads, and spokespersons from provincial departments and agencies, central and local press agencies operating in the area; and leaders from districts, cities, and towns. Mr. Le Van Nghiem, Director of the Department of External Information - Ministry of Information and Communications, presented the thematic content.

Over the course of one day, delegates were briefed on the following topics: Guidelines for implementing external information work at the local level; an overview of external information work; handling media crises; how to write press releases; how to answer press interviews; steps to prepare for press conferences; criteria, standards, responsibilities, and roles of spokespersons and information providers for the press.

Overview of the conference

Delivering the keynote address at the conference, Comrade To Hong Hai, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, emphasized: External information plays a crucial role in the process of international economic integration; however, compared to the requirements of the task, this information work is still limited. Therefore, in the coming time, external information activities need to continue to effectively implement tasks in accordance with the spirit of the Politburo's Conclusion on the Strategy for the Development of External Information in the period 2011-2020 and the Prime Minister's Decision approving the Prime Minister's Action Program on External Information in the period 2013-2020. Actively build and implement external information and propaganda activities to promote Nghe An; continue to innovate and diversify the forms and methods of external information activities; and improve the effectiveness of combating false information, distorted narratives, and subversive activities of opportunistic and hostile forces. Continue to improve the organization, operational mechanisms, and mechanisms for issuing statements and providing information to the press.
