Training on election campaign skills for female candidates for National Assembly and People's Council deputies
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 15, the Provincial Women's Union (PPU) coordinated with the Central Committee of the PPU and the Asia Foundation to organize a training program on election campaign skills for female candidates for the National Assembly (NA) and People's Councils (PCs) at all levels.

Attending the event were representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Asia Foundation, the Provincial Women's Union, along with 35 female candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, and a number of Women's Union officials.
In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - President of the Provincial Women's Union said that, implementing Directive No. 45 dated June 20, 2020 of the Politburo on leading the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, with their roles and responsibilities, the Women's Union at all levels has been focusing on implementing propaganda and supervision activities on the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, while actively participating in introducing Union officials and female officials to run for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.

Accordingly, the training course on election campaign skills for female candidates was organized with the aim of contributing to the successful election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, while increasing women's participation in elected bodies.
In Nghe An, the first negotiation results:
- For National Assembly deputies: the number of elected deputies is 13 people, the number of candidates nominated is 37 people, of which 11 are women, accounting for 31%;
- For provincial People's Council delegates: the number of elected delegates is 83 people, the number of candidates recommended is 251 people, of which 88 are women, accounting for 35%;
- District People's Council delegates: the number of elected delegates is 737 people, the number of candidates recommended is 1,693 people, of which 581 are women, accounting for 34.3%;
- Commune People's Council delegates: the number of elected delegates is 11,025 people, the number of candidates recommended is 24,398 people, of which 8,324 are women, accounting for 34.1%.
Under the guidance of lecturer Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa - XIV National Assembly Delegate, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children, trainees participating in the training program were briefly introduced and practiced election campaign skills for female candidates, including building and presenting an Action Program, answering voters' questions; mass media contact skills, personal image building skills...

Before participating in direct learning, students studied electronic lectures posted on the Vietnam Women's Union Electronic Information Portal and drafted their own personal Action Program.
