Training to improve teaching methods of POKI life skills program and STEM+ educational activities
In preparation for the new school year, AC Life Skills Training Center has just coordinated with copyright units of the POKI Life Skills Education program and the STEM+ education activity program to organize the second round of training sessions to improve teaching methods of life skills and STEM science for nearly 3,000 primary school teachers in 11 districts and towns in Nghe An.
Attending the training course were representatives from the Department of Education and Training, Departments of Education and Training, and school leaders.
During the training, teachers were guided to improve their teaching methods for the POKI life skills program, a STEM+ educational activity program for primary school students.

The goal of these two programs is to help primary school students have the appropriate knowledge and skills to develop and form the ability to adapt to changes and developments in life, create exciting and useful educational activities in schools, and at the same time provide parents with a convenient, safe and economical solution for teaching life skills to their children.

The highlight of the POKI life skills education program is that it has been adjusted to closely follow the new general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training; and has been assessed by the Nghe An Department of Education and Training. The program has been implemented for many years.

As for the STEM+ educational activity program, this is a supplementary educational program outside of regular school hours, contributing to the formation and development of students' scientific thinking, knowledge of basic science topics, scientific research skills, critical and creative thinking, problem-solving ability, and motor skills through crafts, fine arts, engineering, manufacturing, and technology projects.

The program also aims to develop important 21st century skills for students such as Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity through learning projects. Create exciting and useful STEM education activities in schools, while contributing to the implementation of the goals set by the Prime Minister as stated in Decision 146/QD-TTg dated January 28, 2022.
At the end of each training session, school administrators and teachers spent time interacting and answering survey questions to help the Organizing Committee immediately grasp the feelings and needs of school teachers about these two programs./.
