Training on screening poor and near-poor households
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 12, Dien Chau organized a training course on reviewing poor and near-poor households in 2015 and implementing a poverty measurement approach from unidimensional to multidimensional in the period 2016 - 2020 for more than 500 trainees who are commune leaders and hamlet heads of 458 hamlets in the district.
Here, trainees were informed of the criteria for investigating and reviewing poor and near-poor households, and conducted surveys on criteria such as the level of lack of access to basic social services in health, education, housing, clean water, sanitation, and access to information... Delegates were also instructed on the investigation process, household characteristics survey, and methods for implementing classification, synthesis, and publicity...

It is known that according to the survey results at the end of 2014, the whole Dien Chau district still has more than 4,200 poor households, equivalent to 5.62%. The district People's Committee requested the units to conduct the survey to ensure publicity, democracy, correct procedures, correct subjects, not to let duplication or omission occur, in order to ensure the implementation of social security policies for the period 2016 - 2020.
According to the plan, from now until December 15, the communes will complete the investigation and review work, and summarize it to the district. The district People's Committee will summarize and submit the results to the provincial People's Committee before December 17.
