First aid training for Red Cross volunteers.

(Baonghean.vn) - First aid for airway obstruction, bone and joint injuries, and safe transport of victims are among the contents of the training course.

From March 29th to 31st, the Nghe An Red Cross Society organized the second training course on basic first aid for Red Cross volunteers in Dien Chau district.

Here, trainees receive basic training in community first aid skills such as: first aid for airway obstruction; first aid for unconscious victims; first aid for victims with bone and joint injuries; first aid for bleeding; and safe transportation of victims.

This is a training course under the Project on Building Safe Communities in the Face of Climate Change and Disaster Risks, funded by South Korea and implemented over 3 years (2015-2017). Dien Chau is the only district in Nghe An province selected to implement the project. Participating in the project's training courses, trainees are equipped with the knowledge and necessary tools to perform basic first aid.

Upon completion of the training course, participants will be awarded certificates of completion. They will form the primary force for providing first aid in accident situations along National Highway 1A in Dien Chau district. In addition, the project will establish a community first aid station in Dien Yen commune, fully equipped to provide first aid to the community in case of accidents.
