According to people living near the lake near the accident site, a black car driven by a woman learning to drive (license plate unknown) was traveling on the road along the lake of Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry when it suddenly lost control and crashed into two boys playing by the lake, then flew into the lake.
4 people in the car had to be helped by local people to break the door and get out safely.

The accident injured two children and they were taken to Viet Yen District General Hospital for emergency treatment. At the scene, the car sank in the middle of the lake, fortunately no one in the car was injured.
