Focus on areas prone to corruption.
According to assessments, in the first six months of 2024, the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and Party committees at all levels consistently paid attention to leading, directing, and implementing inspection and supervision work. The institutional framework for inspection, supervision, and Party discipline continued to be improved, creating favorable conditions for the Central Inspection Committee and inspection committees at all levels to effectively carry out their tasks as stipulated in the Party Charter.
The inspection and supervision focus on the leadership, direction, and organization of the implementation of resolutions, directives, regulations, and conclusions of the Party; the prevention and fight against corruption, negative phenomena, and waste; the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations; organizational and personnel work; maintaining moral character and lifestyle; areas prone to corruption and negative phenomena; prominent and pressing issues in society and of public concern, especially signs of ideological and political degradation, moral decay, and lifestyle deviations, "self-evolution," and "self-transformation."
The Central Inspection Commission and inspection commissions at all levels comprehensively carry out their tasks, especially the key task of inspecting when there are signs of violations. For complex cases, the Central Inspection Commission establishes a Review Team for the inspection team to ensure prudence, thoroughness, and objectivity in the verification, investigation, and conclusion of the inspection.

Focus on resolving complaints related to personnel matters for the congress.
After listening to the opinions and suggestions from several provinces and cities, Comrade Tran Cam Tu - Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee - addressed some of the recommendations and proposals from the provincial level.

The Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission acknowledged the effective leadership of Party committees at all levels and inspection commissions at all levels, which has led to significant improvements in the Party's inspection and supervision work, a clearer identification of signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation," and the affirmation of the Party's shared mission.
The Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission outlined several key directions and tasks for the last six months of this year. These include thoroughly inspecting the implementation of the Politburo's Directive 35 on Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party; paying attention to resolving complaints and denunciations, especially those related to personnel for Party Congresses at all levels in the next term; and strengthening inspections when there are signs of violations, focusing on areas prone to corruption and negative practices, especially prominent, pressing issues that attract public attention.
Comrade Tran Cam Tu suggested that inspections and supervision should be carried out to address violations, shortcomings, and limitations of lower-level Party committees, Party organizations, and Party members, in accordance with the conclusions of inspections and supervision by higher-level Party committees and Inspection Committees. At the same time, the Standing Committees and Inspection Committees of provincial/city Party committees should promptly handle violations related to cases directed by the Provincial/City Anti-Corruption Steering Committee; comprehensive and timely handling is necessary because the Party's inspection and supervision must "take a step ahead," creating a foundation for relevant agencies to take action.
The Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission also requested the Central Inspection Commission to inspect and direct Party committees and provincial/city inspection commissions under the Central Committee to investigate when there are signs of violations by Party committees, Party organizations, and Party members in leading and directing the implementation of projects/contracts carried out by Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company and Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, in accordance with the Notice of Conclusion of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena.
Furthermore, the Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission requested that the entire sector continue to advise the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on amending, supplementing, and perfecting regulations, rules, and procedures on the Party's inspection, supervision, and disciplinary work, ensuring they are rigorous, scientific, synchronized, unified, and responsive to reality.
Promote the comprehensive and effective implementation of tasks, inspect and resolutely handle Party organizations and Party members who have degenerated in terms of political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, who are "self-evolutionary," "self-transformed," violate regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do, and fail to set an example; violate Party principles and regulations; engage in corruption, negative practices, and group interests.
