Focus on inspecting areas prone to corruption
On the morning of July 10, the Central Inspection Commission held an online conference to review the inspection and supervision work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

Comrade Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Inspection Commission chaired the conference in Hanoi. Co-chairs were leaders of the Central Inspection Commission.
Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired at Nghe An bridge. Also attending were Comrade Pham Trong Hoang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee; and leaders of relevant agencies and units.
Focus on areas prone to corruption
According to the assessment, in the first 6 months of 2024, the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and Party committees at all levels regularly paid attention to leading, directing and implementing inspection and supervision work. Institutions on inspection, supervision and party discipline work continued to be improved, creating favorable conditions for the Central Inspection Commission (IC) and the ICs at all levels to effectively carry out tasks according to the provisions of the Party Charter.
The content of inspection and supervision focuses on leadership, direction and organization of implementation of resolutions, directives, regulations and conclusions of the Party; prevention and combat of corruption, negativity and waste; the principle of democratic centralism, working regulations; organizational and personnel work; preservation of moral qualities and lifestyle; areas prone to corruption and negativity, prominent and pressing issues in society and of public concern, especially signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation".
The Central Inspection Commission and Inspection Commissions at all levels shall comprehensively carry out their tasks, especially the key task of inspection when there are signs of violations. For complicated cases, the Central Inspection Commission shall establish a Review Team for the inspection team to ensure prudence, strictness, and objectivity in the examination, verification, and conclusion of the inspection.
According to Article 30 of the Party Charter, Party committees at all levels inspected 18,476 Party organizations and 107,165 Party members (a decrease of 5.2% of organizations and an increase of 7.1% of Party members compared to the same period in 2023). Through inspection, it was concluded that 631 Party organizations and 1,767 Party members had violations and shortcomings; of which 2 Party organizations and 67 Party members were considered for disciplinary action, and 1 Party organization and 65 Party members were disciplined.

Party committees at all levels have inspected 131 party organizations and 922 party members for signs of violations (an increase of 13.9% of organizations and 16% of party members compared to the same period in 2023).
Party committees at all levels and Party cells have disciplined 165 Party organizations (down 9.3% compared to the same period in 2023) and 7,858 Party members. Of which, the Central Executive Committee disciplined 7 comrades (expelled 6 comrades from the Party, dismissed 1 comrade from office), and dismissed 5 comrades from their positions due to shortcomings and violations; the Politburo disciplined 5 Party organizations and 6 Party members with warnings; the Secretariat disciplined 5 Party organizations and 27 Party members.
The Party Inspection Committees at all levels have disciplined 143 Party organizations and 3,147 Party members (an increase of 55.4% of Party organizations and 8.7% of Party members compared to the same period in 2023).
In Nghe An, determining inspection and supervision as an important and regular task of the Party, Party committees at all levels, sectors, and Inspection Commissions at all levels continue to synchronously implement solutions, creating positive changes.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Inspection Committees at all levels monitored 519 Party organizations and 693 Party members. Through monitoring, they transferred to inspection when there were signs of violations in 4 Party organizations and 8 Party members; and inspected when there were signs of multiple violations in 84 Party organizations and 227 Party members. Disciplinary action was taken against 358 Party members.
Focus on resolving personnel-related petitions for the congress
After listening to comments from a number of provinces and cities, comrade Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission spoke to answer a number of recommendations and proposals from the provincial level.

The Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission acknowledged the effectiveness of the leadership of Party committees at all levels and Inspection Commissions at all levels, thereby bringing about many changes in the Party's inspection and supervision work, more clearly identifying signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation", affirming the common mission of the entire Party.
The Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission has oriented a number of key directions and tasks for the last 6 months of this year. These include thoroughly inspecting the implementation of Directive 35 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; paying attention to resolving complaints and denunciations, especially those related to personnel for the Congresses at all levels in the next term; stepping up inspections when there are signs of violations, focusing on areas prone to corruption and negativity, especially prominent, pressing issues of public concern.
Comrade Tran Cam Tu suggested inspecting and supervising the urging of overcoming violations, shortcomings and limitations of Party committees, lower-level Party organizations and Party members according to the inspection and supervision conclusions of the Party committees and the Inspection Commission at higher levels. At the same time, the Standing Committees and Inspection Commissions of provincial/municipal Party Committees promptly handle violations related to cases directed by the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption of the province/municipality; it is necessary to handle them synchronously and promptly, because the Party's inspection and supervision must be "one step ahead", in order to create a premise for the authorities to intervene.
The Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission also requested the Central Inspection Commission to inspect and direct Party committees, provincial and municipal Party committees directly under the Central Committee to inspect when there are signs of violations by Party committees, Party organizations, and Party members in leading and directing the implementation of projects/bid packages implemented by Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company and Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, according to the Notice of Conclusion of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
In addition, the Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission requested the entire sector to continue advising the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat to amend, supplement, and perfect regulations, statutes, and procedures on inspection, supervision, and discipline work of the Party to ensure strictness, scientificity, synchronization, unity, and response to reality.
Strengthen the comprehensive and effective implementation of tasks, inspect and resolutely handle Party organizations and Party members who have degraded in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation", violations of regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do, and the responsibility to set an example, violations of Party principles and regulations, corruption, negativity, and group interests./.
