While draining the pond to clear the mud, Mr. Le caught a catfish nearly one meter long, then butchered it and shared it with his relatives to enjoy.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Le, in Tien Son commune (Tien Phuoc district, Quang Nam) was draining the pond behind his house. When the water was almost dry, he discovered a big fish struggling very hard, then caught the catfish.

The fish was 1 meter long and weighed nearly 10 kg. Many people offered to buy it at a high price, but he did not sell it and instead cut it up and gave the meat to his relatives.

Mr. Le said the pond usually raises catfish and gradually sells them. “I didn’t expect to see one like this. I’ve been raising fish for a long time, but this is the first time I’ve seen one this big,” he said.
