All people in contact with passengers on flight VN54 must be quarantined.
Everyone who came into contact with passengers on flight VN54 must be quarantined, according to the decision of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on the evening of March 11.
People who have direct or close contact with positive cases must be quarantined for 14 days from the date of contact. During the quarantine period, health authorities will take samples for testing and monitor their health. Negative cases will still be quarantined for the full 14 days.

Flight VN54 from the UK to Noi Bai airport on the morning of March 2 carried 217 people, including 21 people sitting in business class, 180 passengers in economy class, 16 crew members and flight attendants. There were 48 Vietnamese, the rest were foreigners. Currently, the health sector has identified 13 people on the flight infected with nCoV (Covid-19), including 12 people sitting in business class, one in economy class.
The first person confirmed positive for Covid-19 on the flight was "patient 17" Nguyen Hong Nhung, followed by "patient 21". Then 10 British tourists and one Irish person also contracted the virus. The 3 domestic infections related to VN54 are numbers 19 and 20 (infected from "patient 17"), 35 (from British tourists).
After entering the country, these passengers spread to many other provinces and cities. Currently, the authorities have verified the destinations of 155 of the economy class passengers and 21 of the business class passengers. 60 of them stayed in Hanoi. Localities are searching for and monitoring the health of these passengers.
As of the afternoon of March 11, Vietnam has recorded 38 cases of Covid-19 infection, 16 people have recovered, 22 patients are being treated. 113 suspected cases (with epidemiological history and symptoms of cough, fever, and difficulty breathing) are isolated and closely monitored for health.
The number of people quarantined and under medical supervision is nearly 25,000, an increase of nearly 5,000 cases compared to the previous day. People who must be quarantined are those who do not have symptoms such as cough, fever, or difficulty breathing but have epidemiological factors of the disease.
