Tat Dang Quai - where fish transform into dragons
(Baonghean.vn) - It is believed that at the foot of Tat Dang Quai waterfall there is a pair of...The "pa poc" fish has transformed into a mythical serpent, causing fear among many people.
In Thai, Tat Dang Quai means "buffalo nose waterfall." The waterfall is located about 15 minutes through the forest from Bon village in Yen Na commune (Tuong Duong district). The waterfall consists of three tiers halfway up Pu Con Nguoi mountain. The bottom tier is less than 10 meters high, while the middle tier, considered the most beautiful, is about 30 meters high. The top tier is believed to be home to a pair of "pa poc" fish, a type of stream fish.

The lowest level of Tat Dang Quai waterfall is nestled within a mountain cave like a sturdy shelter, its entrance a natural stone gate covered in vines and moss, adding to its mysterious atmosphere. At the foot of the small waterfall are slabs of rock where one can comfortably sit and rest after a mountain climb.
To reach the base of the waterfall, you have to pass through this gate. Below the archway is a small pool of water. According to the locals, during the rainy season, the water flows fiercely, making it very difficult to get to the base of the waterfall. Beyond the first waterfall is the second tier, which looks very picturesque with its graceful streams of water cascading down onto a carpet of lush green leaves.
