(Baonghean.vn) - While on their way to shore, a fishing boat from Quynh Nghia commune struck a submerged reef (Hon Cho) in front of Lach Quen estuary. All seven crew members were fortunately rescued.

At noon on June 5th, local authorities in Quynh Nghia commune reported that a fishing boat had sunk in the area. There were 7 crew members on board, but they were promptly discovered and rescued by rescue forces and other fishermen.

Specifically, on the morning of June 3rd, the fishing boat with registration number NA - 99998 TS, owned by Mr. Ho Tinh residing in Bac Nghia hamlet, along with 7 other fishermen, set out to sea to fish in the coastal area of ​​Nghe An. Around 11 pm on June 4th, while on its way back to shore, the fishing boat struck a submerged reef (Hon Cho) in front of Lach Quen estuary (Quynh Thuan commune).

After the ship sank, all seven crew members were fortunately spotted and rescued by nearby fishing boats and brought safely ashore.

Reportedly, the ill-fated ship was built by Mr. Ho Tinh's family in partnership with five friends, at a cost of 2.5 billion VND.
