Fishing boat in distress at sea, 6 Nghe An fishermen issue distress call
(Baonghean.vn) - After more than a day and night of overcoming big waves, strong winds, and darkness, the forces of Squadron 2, Nghe An Border Guard promptly rescued a fishing boat and 6 crew members in distress at sea and brought them safely to shore.

Previously, on February 22, fishing boat NA - 90438 TS of Mr. Nguyen Van Sang (born in 1968, residing in Hamlet 8, Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu), with 6 crew members on board, while fishing in the sea area 90 nautical miles east of Ngu Island, the boat's engine broke down, waves punctured the boat's hold, and it was at risk of sinking.
At the time of the fishing boat accident, the sea was rough with waves of level 4 to level 5. The crew members on board were scared, and the captain of the NA-90438 TS sent out an urgent distress signal.

Upon receiving the news, on the evening of February 22, the rescue ship of Squadron 2 (Nghe An Border Guard) with 11 officers and soldiers commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Tu quickly set out for the rescue.
At 6:30 a.m. on February 23, the rescue ship of Squadron 2 approached the distressed fishing vessel; proceeded to fix the problem, provide health care for the crew members on board, and tow the distressed fishing vessel to shore.
At 3:00 a.m. on February 24, the NA - 90438 TS ship and its crew were towed to Cua Hoi port (Nghe An).
