Fishing boats from Nghe An province, fleeing Typhoon No. 3, were swept ashore by waves.
Military forces, along with the Farmers' Association of Nghi Thuy ward, Cua Lo town, have successfully rescued a fishing boat belonging to a fisherman that was swept away by waves.
At noon on September 6th, Mr. Nguyen Tien Loi, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Nghi Thuy Ward, said that military forces and members of the ward's farmers' association had successfully rescued a fishing boat that had been swept ashore by waves against the rocky embankment.
Accordingly, at around 0:00 AM on the same day, Mr. Nguyen Van Thinh's boat, bearing license plate NA 70219 TS, from Yen Son Hamlet, Nghi Thuy Ward, noticed a storm and tried to return to shore to avoid the tempest. However, due to strong winds and heavy water ingress, the boat sank. Afterwards, the boat was washed ashore on the rock embankment at Vissai Nghi Thiet Port (Nghi Loc).
Upon receiving reports from fishermen, the ward's farmers' association quickly advised the local Party committee and government to mobilize military forces, primarily the maritime militia platoon, to implement a rescue plan.
Despite unfavorable weather conditions, rough seas, and large waves, rescue forces quickly and successfully salvaged the fishing boat belonging to fisherman Nguyen Van Thinh and his three crew members. The boat is currently being towed safely ashore.
