In addition, naval parades and ceremonial events will be held at the bases and at the anchorages of all naval fleets: the Baltic Fleet, the Black Sea Fleet, the Northern Fleet, the Pacific Fleet, and the Caspian Flotilla.
According to the announcement of the Russian Ministry of Defense, on the night of July 18-19, on the Neva River in St. Petersburg, the first rehearsal of the main naval parade was held. Participating in this activity were relatively small ships and canoes with less displacement to make it easier to move on the river.
During the exercise, the working group, which included representatives of the Navy Command, the Baltic Fleet Command and the Leningrad Naval Base, checked the crews' implementation of navigational safety measures: maintaining distance between ships, maintaining a certain speed and navigating in narrow waterways. This was difficult because the Neva is a very erratic river, flowing through a huge city.
Currently, several large warships are moving to the Leningrad Naval Base and will soon join rehearsals for the parade on the Neva River and in the port of Kronstadt./.
