Russian warship carrying a series of military equipment docked at Syrian port?

Russian military ships are said to have transported a series of additional military equipment such as tanks, ships, and radars to Syria, in the context of Damascus having just experienced airstrikes by the US, UK, and France.

According toDailymail, a Russian Project 117 Alligator-class landing ship, was reportedly spotted in the Bosphorus, Türkiye, en route to Syria on April 15. The ship is carrying Soviet-era BTR-80 tanks, Ramaz trucks, ambulances, and the Pelena-1 IED-detection radar. The ship is likely to dock at the Russian naval base in Tartus, Syria.

Additionally, military observer Yörük Işık posted on social media images of what he said was the transport ship Alexandr Tkachenko en route to Tartus. The ship was carrying high-speed patrol boats, a temporary bridge, and several trucks.

The above information was released in the context of the US, UK, and France firing more than 100 missiles into Syria early on April 14 in response to accusations that the Damascus government used chemical weapons to attack the Douma area, killing dozens of people.
