He also praised this as an important move by Tehran in implementing its commitments within the framework of the historic nuclear agreement reached on July 14 with the P5+1 powers (including Russia, the US, the UK, France, China and Germany).

“I am pleased to report that we have seen significant signs of progress toward Iran fulfilling its core commitments under the nuclear deal,” Secretary Kerry said. “This shipment includes all of Iran’s nuclear material enriched to 20 percent that was not produced as fuel for Tehran’s research reactor.”

“Removing all of this enriched nuclear material from Iran is an important step toward Tehran meeting its commitment to possess no more than 300 kilograms of low-enriched uranium,” he also said.
